Sample orders ship in 2 business days unless otherwise noticed.

Full sheet mosaic tiles are made to order. Lead times start from 6 weeks although it depends on the quantity and the pattern. Shipping usually takes 1-2 weeks. Please consult with us for an expedited production option in case you're in rush.

    1. How can I figure out how many pieces I need to order?
It is simply the total SF of your area divided by the product's piece coverage. For example, if the area of application is 50 SF and let's say the coverage of one piece is 0.8 SF then you'll need a minimum of 63 pieces. (50/0.8=62.5) However, we recommend ordering 15-20% more. 72 to 75 pieces in total would be ideal in this case.

    2. How much extra do I need to order?
We recommend ordering at least 15-20% extra as an industry standard to cover potential waste during installation and be able to show full pattern equally and centered.

    3. Do I need to grout?
Yes, we do recommend using an unsanded grout that is applicable to natural stones.

    4. Do I need to seal this product?
Yes, sealing before and after installation is recommended. Please choose a type of sealant that is applicable to limestone and holds the original color.
If you would like to have the materials in more vibrant colors instead, we recommend an enhanced sealant or stone wax (after non-enhanced sealed) with using a heavy fabric such as denim.

    5. How often do I need to seal it?
Sealing is recommended for every other year in dry areas and once a year in wet areas. Simply, same as almost every natural stone tile.

    6. Thickness of the material is 1/4". Is it durable?
In a nutshell, yes, it is very durable because it's natural stone. This is one of the greatest feature of the product even though it comes with a thin structure.

    7. My materials came with different calibrations. Is it normal?
Yes, it is because our materials are handmade. They are meant to be in different calibrations and textures from another.

    8. How much variation I should be expecting?
Since we use natural stone, moderate variation should be expected. This is one of the reasons our products look unique.

    9. Why do lead times usually start from 8-12 weeks?
Materials are handmade and made to order for your project. Production for an average sized bathroom project usually takes 8-10 weeks depending on the quantity and the pattern. Shipping time takes 1-2 weeks via air freight directly from our boutique factories in the Mediterrenean region. If your schedule is tight, please consult with us for an expedited production option or confirm your project's rough lead time estimate before placing the order.

    How To Install

It’s crucial to use a regular waterproof sealant and an unsanded grout that are suitable for limestone. Alternatively, if you prefer more vibrant colors, you can opt for a color-enhancing sealant instead of the regular one.

Please make sure to apply the sealant both before and after grouting, and apply it generously to ensure a proper installation.

Since natural stones are highly porous, applying a waterproof sealant that suits the limestone is vital. The sealant must deeply penetrate the stone to provide effective protection.

Please note that minor chips, cracks, and color variations are natural characteristics of our products. The grout will seamlessly complement these imperfections, giving the surface a natural, timeworn antiqued appearance.

Limestone tiles add timeless elegance to any space, but maintaining their beauty requires proper care. With their natural composition, these tiles demand specific upkeep techniques to ensure longevity and aesthetics same as any natural stone. This maintenance guide provides easy-to-follow steps for cleaning, sealing, and preserving your limestone tiles.

    Daily Care for Limestone Tiles

    1. Sweep or Vacuum
Use a soft broom or vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dirt and debris that can scratch the tile surface. Do this daily or as needed.

    2. Damp Mop
Clean with a damp (not wet) mop and pH-neutral cleaner designed for limestone. Avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners like vinegar, lemon juice, or bleach, as these can damage the limestone's surface.

    3. Wipe Spills Immediately
Limestone is porous and can absorb liquids, leading to stains. Clean spills promptly with a soft cloth or paper towel to prevent absorption.

    4. Inspect for Stains
Check for any discolorations or stains. Treat stains with a stain remover specifically designed for limestone.

    Sealing Limestone Tiles

Sealing is critical to protect your limestone tiles from stains and moisture damage. The frequency depends on the sealant type and foot traffic.

    • Choose the Right Sealant
Use a penetrating sealer designed for limestone. Avoid topical sealers, as they can alter the tile's natural look.

    • Apply the Sealant
      • Clean the tiles thoroughly and let them dry completely.
      • Apply the sealer evenly with a soft cloth, sponge, or applicator brush.
      • Let the sealant soak in for the recommended time (check the product label).
      • Wipe off excess with a clean, dry cloth to avoid streaks.

    • Reapply as Needed
Reseal every 6-12 months depending on the traffic or when water no longer beads on the surface.

    Stain Removal Tips

    1. Oil Stains: Use an oil stain remover formulated for limestone. Apply it to the stain, let it dry, and wipe it away.

    2. Organic Stains: Use a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution, but test in an inconspicuous area first.

    3. Rust Stains: Apply a rust remover formulated for limestone. Avoid generic rust removers, as they may damage the tile.

    Preventative Measures

    1. Furniture Pads
Add felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratches.

    2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Steer clear of acidic or alkaline cleaners and abrasive scrubbing tools.

    3. Regular Maintenance
Schedule professional resealing every 6-12 months depending on the traffic or when water no longer beads on the surface.

    Do's and Don'ts

    Do:

    • Use soft cloths, mops, and pH-neutral cleaners.
    • Seal your tiles regularly.
    • Blot spills instead of wiping to prevent spreading.

    Don't:

    • Use abrasive scrubbers or steel wool.
    • Allow standing water or moisture to accumulate.
    • Apply wax or oil-based polishes.

By following these maintenance steps, you can keep your limestone tiles in pristine condition, preserving their natural beauty and durability for years to come. Regular care and attention will not only enhance the appearance of your tiles but also protect your investment.
